As the title says. Yes, it will be a part of your recovery. Many today however, view it as the most important thing to do in order to heal from injuries. I've read, heard and seen tons of people with hard flaccid or other injuries from my days as an athlete that has visited different physiotherapist. While there, they'll get some body parts "cracked" and get sent home with a stretching routine. My own physiotherapist is a big believer in muscle testing, where you search for obvious weak points in different muscles and movements. You can work on these weak points and improve drastically from one session.
